Everything Road Runner: The name designated to the car was originally 'La Mancha'. It cost Chrysler-Plymouth $10,000 to develop the 'Beep Beep' sound in the single horn. (Black w/decal for 1968). The use of the Inland 4-Speed shifter saved Chrysler-Plymouth $40 per unit, instead of using the Hurst Shifter (later installed on the 1968 mid-year production cars). Wheelbase: 116" Track-width: 59.5" Front / 59.2" Back Suprisingly, none of the factory-backed Chrysler-Plymouth Racing teams were able to successfully campaign a 383 Road Runner in E/S or E/SA for the 1968 drag racing season. ![]() Last edited by Paul Ceasrine; 10-02-2011 at 03:09 PM. |
