SST is no longer classified as an "entry level class" and as of 2011, a SST racer can enter second class. Check your rule book. Why have a 500 inch mo mo and go 10.90 at 150? Same reason why A/SA is more popular than R/SA. The race is in front of you and the slower car tends to screw up worse, (so they say).
