It was running great but the plastic intake gasket blew at the water passage and dumped antifreeze internally into the engine making a chocolate milkshake out of the oil. Instead of rebuilding it I opted to buy a brand new 350 Vortec in a crate at the Chevy dealer for $2300 and installed it myself.
My other driver is a 1991 Lumina 4dr that my Mom bought new. I inherited it after she passed away in '04. It recently turned over 100K miles so it has a lot of life still left. It gets 26 MPG on the highway so I see no need to buy a new $20K car that gets the same mileage.
My wife drives our 1996 Formula Firdbird which we bought new. While it was still under warranty I played with it at the dragstrip running 8.73 1/8 mile and 13.80 1/4 mile.
My toy is a 1995 Corvette LT-1 automatic that I bought 3 years ago. It only has 53K miles on it. It has all the whistles and bells. I have pictures of it on my Facebook page.
