Default Re: Odd or Even fire V-6

Rick I played with an odd fire 231buick 25+ years ago. One of the issues you will run into with the odd fire is the rocker pedastals. They are cast aluminum and crack with a strong stare. Back then they were no longer available from the dealer and if one broke while tightening it down you had to scour junk yards to find a rocker shaft that had a good one. They could easily be made in a machine shop and with no performance advantage over the originals I bet they still would not pass tech. If memory serves me the even fire heads have the rocker pedastals cast into the head. Don Jackson
