Woody, I thought I told you I talked with Rich for a couple hours this weekend? I saw him standing by the tech trailer and introduced myself to him. He seems like a real nice guy who is very business smart. He admits he has a lot to learn about class racing, he is a promoter. He was very interested in the SSSSA and he asked me as many questions as I asked him. He said he is learning and has an excellent staff who must be allowed to do their jobs. He stated they have been micro managed too long. Jim Collins is as good and fair a tech man as any you will find. Harry, J. T., and all the rest of the Div.2 staff have now been given the green light to do their jobs without fear of reprisal. Everyone of them I talked to seemed much happier now that they have a new boss! After speaking with Rich, I really believe he plans on correcting and changing the things that we have been complaining about for years. He stated he is an email junkie! So write him! He promises he will answer you! He wants input and suggestions. Nothing will happen overnight. You all know how critical I can be sometimes, but I ask that you give this new guy a chance. One race is not a fair chance. BTW Jay Hullinger was running the race this past weekend, Rich was watching and learning. I'm sure he learned a lot and I look forward to speaking with him again at the South East Sportsnational Open in Cecil next month. Jim
