Saw a single wheelie bar last weekend at the northwest Nationals on Doug Lambeck's '69 Camaro that used the 12 bolt cover bolts to mount. The bottom bar was a chromed leaf spring style bracketed to the lowest 2 or 3 bolts of the rear end cover. the upper bar was a forked tubular style with a spring at the rear just where it hooked to the castor bracket, then Y'd up and forward to two brackets again bolted to the upper corner bolts of the cover. Like a dummy, forgot to use the phone in my pocket and get a few photos!
Does anyone know who makes that bar, or sells a kit that mounts that way? It looks clean and simple, very easy to install with no welding required. Any comments on how good they are? negative or positive appreciated. If Doug made them up himself, could anyone give me his contact number? Thanks for any help or info! Grant Eldridge E/SA 6650 |
