Stock Eliminator is far from the only class with big differences in mph between cars. Every racer knows the risk of being on track and if you don't feel safe then improve your own situation.
Ed, you say you don't feel comfortable out there, but your car has no bar or harness? If it was such a big deal, then why not put that in there and feel safe? I've raced plenty of S/SS combo races and have had to run SS/AH cars and modified cars running well over 150. I'm sure you have as well so why complain about a car going 140? There is no rule that says you can't add a roll bar or cage, proper harness, firesuit, fire gloves, full-face helmet, HANS, etc. I'm not making a joke either. Until you've exhausted all the options, don't complain about safety. Yes, it can get expensive to have said equipment, but you are the one on track and if you don't feel safe then it's money well spent. Evan
