I remember it like it was yesterday! Yes, it was a mistake in the guide that somebody jumped on and it took NHRA a good 2 years to fix it.
Brian Philbrick runs a 75 Monza with that combo and flies! The Nova with the 262 is another one that I'm suprised noone has ever done. The cam is a bit bigger but it has a very good head and intake but only a slightly bigger carb. The carb is a lot easier to work with though (2G vs. Dualjet). At 165 HP, I don't know if it's 15 HP better (165 vs. 150) though. In a U/SA car that's 300 pounds!
