Sean,

A quick recap of information that has been posted on this site many times.

Ford staff told me and anyone who would listen at 2008 SEMA that these cars were putting out close to 800 horsepower, but they would not publish the numbers because they did not want nhra to know the real horsepower numbers.

A friend bought one of these cars and was told that the motors put out about 750-780 horsepower but they would not offer a dyno sheet because they did not want nhra to find out.

A fellow by the name of Steve who works for Ford Racing Parts told me the motors could make up to 780 horsepower but he would not give me a dyno sheet because Ford did not want nhra to find out about the real horsepower the motor is producing. Apparently Ford told nhra the motors produce approximately 450 horsepower.

nhra learned the truth about this scheme earlier in the year but refused to correct the situation. Now the numbers are out and the car is in fact making the power that all of the Ford staff said it would make.

This is certainly enough information for a reasonable person to conclude that Ford is cheating the system.
