Re: Thanks Findell, Mosbek, and Wann for the Hp!
Back in 1981 I was at Indy, that is when my car was very competitive, it was just a couple of hundreds off the record. Well all the Mopar's with the small block combo made the field at Indy and NHRA did nothing about even to this day. I took my car apart and put it back to driving on the street because of that experience. Since that time that combo has been protected, they need more then just 7 HP, they should carry at least what my engine is, which is 19 HP from the factory rating. (1969 Z/28 Camaro) BTW, that is one reason for mufflers on the car now, it's not as much work to just roll the car off the trailer and take it for a cruise and enjoy it.
Also, the lifting at the 1000 feet is one good reason that manufactures don't want to sponcer class racing. Lifting doesn't show that their products help the performance of the vehicles that the product was targeted for even if the product does.
