My vote goes to Jimmy, and since I'm out numbered here in this segment, then that's ok too...I'm out numbered every time I go to a Stock Eliminator race given that I choose to race a fwd car. However, just as I'm having my good times & successes with my car, Jimmy is very good at racing one of the fastest SS cars in the country.... and with him being on home soil, home field advantage goes his way!!!

Gary, I think it's cool that you are pulling for Jimmy. That's what this thread was all about, to get everyone into it just like the press would like everyone to get into the pros. I just started this one cause we sportsman guys have as much a heated contest going as the pros do. So pull on for your man that's what makes racing fun, pulling one against another.

OK, I have to admit, I'm completely torn here-grew up in Ohio and raced stock and brackets in the 70s (never amounted to much winning, but had a lot of fun). A division 3 winner works good for me, but I (barely) know The Defranks and like all thier cars, plus they give me someone local to root for when I do get to an NHRA race. I'm gonna throw in for Jimmy D, expecially since he appears to be the dark horse here AND if I live to be a hundred I will never figure out how to count up the points, so I hope he wins however many rounds are left for him to pull ahead. Go Jimmy DeFrank!

I like this forum, and I'm honored to be included in it. Because I go to these races to race Stock, but watch Super Stock. I may be a Chevy racer, but I'm a Mopar guy in disguise (give me a late sixties Dart, or a 63-67 Belvedere, Savoy, Fury, or Coronet--like Bob Marshalls or even Vic Hobbs), and look out!!! I ran an 11sec car once, but it was a short wheelbase Corvette and it got squirrely after I got into high gear...give me a longer wheelbase and some test & tunes, and look out! I may have to be like Jody Lang and Skip Loeffler who race slower stockers, but race much faster Super Stockers (especially Skip and his SS/AH car)! Congrats to Rick, and I hope he runs that #1 proud throughout 2009!!! #5824 DF/S

Gary, your right I bet that was a heck of a race to watch. That's one you would like to see from the side all the way down the track. Do you think they were staring each other down at the end? Well I have to say that Defrank made it as interesting a points chase as possible and I do want to congratulate him on a great year and coming in a close second.
