Talking NHRA does piss me off sometimes

I had the good fortune of winning Atlanta in S/St this year and I was obviously thrilled by it to say the least. I'm sitting home a couple of months later, the mail comes & I get a box from NHRA, I open the box and it contains a really nice hand signed letter from Tom Compton congratulating me for my run to the Wally & hoping I enjoy the video that is enclosed and contains video of the race...
I'm excited and siked to see the Motel 6 footage that was enclosed, I get my family and we sit and watch the video, every class is represented except S/ST. In amazement I search the video again and nada, nothing on S/St. I email NHRA's Eric Lotz who handles this stuff , he's surprised I'm not on it & said he will review the footage and get back to me. He was very responsive to my situation, he responded and said there was an error and he would find out where the footage is etc etc.
I get an email back a few weeks later and was told they have NO footage of any of my passes, " they may have been changing tape at that time" Tape , what yr is this anyway??
So I have no footage and feel like a redheaded step child & I feel ike venting.

I kinda know how you feel Gary. Earlier this season I won the IHRA Allstar race and my top end interview (where I got to thank all my sponsors) was left out of the coverage. THEN, in the article about the race in Drag Review my sponsors were left out, THEN, IHRA lost all of the winners circle photos from the event!!! Needless to say I was pretty upset with them.

Gary, that is complete B.S. When I lost to Ruff in the quarters, I lost track of him and looked forward to pick up the stripe and their we were on the big screen. Kinda shocked me and also helped me find him. Still didn't help, I got treated to another Mike Ruff dump. I would be upset to say the very least.
Call ESPN and see if they have it.
Good luck. Mike and Ernie.

Gary,

I would love to be the first one to pick on you, but I have to tell you that I would be pretty upset, if (I mean when) I win a national event, I would be pretty pissed if that happened to me. Not to get anything in the mail is one thing, but to get a video and your not in it is just bad!

Probably had nothing to do with NHRA......this time...the ESPN guys were so focused on super street that they screwed it up.........sorry about that Gary.....you will just have to win again.......

Your right Rock but NHRA could have stood up for me and asked the right people for it. I assume they would know what buttons to push..

Gary,
Didn't you get the memo? NHRA now means, Never Help Racers Again.
Maybe ESPN will help more.
