Default Is everybody OK in Southern California?

I've been trying to call some racers friends in California and can't get through. The initial reports said the quake was a good shaker. But it would be good to hear from someone out there.

Haven't talked to Clark Holroyd yet but everyone else I've reached is fine. That was too close for comfort. Cell service was lost immediately. That's good to remember when making emergency plans!

Good report Chuck. I thought all the lines were blocked due to heavy calling. The quake was centered not too far from you????

It has been downgraded to a 5.4 quake. I live in Fullerton (maybe 15 miles)
away from Chino Hills (the center of it all) and my wife said we lost a light
bulb from a outside light that unscrewed and fell and broke. I was driving
on the fwy and missed it all.

She also said it scared the dog and caused the dog to run from room to
room looking to see what was going on....wife stayed in the door way..

I called Barry Polley, and spoke with his wife. They're way North of the quake, but I'm sure Barry will check on everyone and call me back. Barry's wife had not heard anything about any of the racers having damage or injuries when I talked to her, but it is early yet. Barry will probably know how to reach Clark. I hope everyone is okay.

Jeff,

Don't worry, the aftershocks are down to 1.0 or less.
You won't even feel anything.

Awe come on, folks. This is California. Us natives will take these minor shakers over a tornado or hurricane anyday. I'm about 10 miles from the epicenter and we had a good roller, 1 pepsi can fell off the shelf and a collector decanter fell, nothing broke. My son was changing tires on the race car when it hit and we just set there and watched the trailer sway back and forth, only lasted a few seconds.
