Angry Topeka broadcast

Does anyone have a clue how to notify NHRA at Topeka that they have dropped the feed for the live broadcast? How frustrating! To be listening to the race (especially when they're half way through super stock) and have it just go dead! I tried calling the track but only got voicemail, of course. Help!
Thanks for any suggestions.

It was scheduled to go off the air at 6:30 ET and it was right on schedule (unfortunately). Sportsman racing is what it is.

Who decides to pull the plug in the middle of the race, even if it is ONLY sportsmen? NHRA? Or who?
I only ask because I don't know how this works... whether it's the network or who. Listening to the first two days of a national race is supposed to be an additional benefit to being a member of NHRA, (they don't say listening to the first few hours until we decide to cut it off) and I doubt anybody appreciates being cut off before it finishes (kinda like having your tv plug pulled just before the grand finale of your favorite program!) Maybe this is a small area that has not been brought to their attention?

Hey guys,

I just talked to Leo Taugher in Topeka, and the audiocast that was lost yesterday was not the fault of NHRA. He said there is a third party that handles the broadcasting and when NHRA realized they had lost the broadcast, they tried to call to get the situation corrected but received no answer. Evidentally, the third party had closed for the weekend.

They are hopeful that it will be up and running this morning.

Hope this answers your questions.

Amy

IMHO....It's high time NHRA & ESPN need to cut a deal to put ALL of the National Events on XM RADIO !!
You could listen to it almost anywhere and if you have Direct TV you could listen over yout TV !!!!!!!!!!
I was told that ESPN would have to OK the deal.........dunno.....

but if (thats a BIG IF) they would choose that way, i think they would be going to sirius, just because sirius already has an ESPN channel on there. (im not sure if they have one on XM or not)
