If you aren't limited to currently active racers, it would certainly be Fletcher.

If you add in Pro Appearance and attitudes, to all the decades of hard work (and the titles earned to prove it), you cannot leave out those boys from Pasadena, TX The Emmons Family!
Harvey prepped them and taught the triplets right, and they ran with the ball straight for the end zone! Just my 2 cents looking back over time.

Lots of worthy candidates mentioned here but we need to consider Allison Doll also, her 2019 World Championship run speaks to her qualifications. Anyone out there overly anxious to line up against her? Or Cooter for that matter?

Glidden was someone that did it all, so my vote goes to someone that does it all as well....

Candidate needs to have raced some controversial cars and been successful
Raced with their family and did majority of work themselves World Champion Wife with him at the track whenever he ran switched brands and kept right on winning Only one that comes close is Big Bad David Barton..... Controversial- 65 A990 Hemi Carp Coronet Switched to Late model Challenger and we all remember the story at Indy and threats after no 1 qualifier Built a Copo and that after a few world champ finishes continues to tune at the top of the category... just an fyi - Mark Pawuk world champ FSS car this season is the original Carp Challenger built and raced by Dave and Ray and engine still built and tuned by them. Family effort With that said NO ONE wlll ever come close to Bob. Rest in peace Mad Dog, your work ethic was an inspiration..... |

As drivers, many of the racers here qualify.as for tuner/ driver Jim Boudreau is top on my list, worked for him for 28 years none better. As for engine builder/ tuner/ driver, none better than Jason Line.

They all pay tribute to Glidden, none can remotely imitate him. To even be mentioned in this thread is an honor.

When it comes to performance he is the guy everybody mentions for years. Hardest working man in sportsman drag racing. He does everything him self.
