Yep..
Heard no one mention it today...
Once on the radio, but no one at work...
I wonder how many have already forgotten...
I remember exactly where I was..
But the thing I remember most was the deafening silence with no air traffic out of IAH...

Think everyone remembers this day. I personally remember every part of the day which seem like not so long ago.

A very good book on this subject:

The Only Plane in the sky - An Oral History of 9/11 by Garrett M. Graff

Almost 500 pages of what the people saw, felt, encountered and endured that day, and the days following. I highly recommend that you get a copy and read. Available through Amazon or Barnes and Noble and probably other sources. List price $18.00.

When I bought the book a couple of years ago I couldn't put it down

Yes, the lack of air traffic was incredible to say the least! At that time, we lived really close to Ellington Field and during a mostly sleepless night that evening, some sort of transport plane flew, very slowly, over our home at around 3:30 AM (9/12/01). After not hearing any aircraft due to the grounding, it scared the beejeebers out of us! I can only assume it was some sort of military plane, but I will never forget that feeling of "what's going on?"
