Adger years ago before all the electronics I took a hood adjustment bolt with the adjustment bolt welded to floor under pedal, had white hash marks and I could either slow the car down or speed it up, this was back in early 80's, but I am just a no name racer.

I think MJ means aluminum gaskets that don't have the precise hole sizes ;-)

I have never seen one Yac. All I know is there are a lot of HITTERS in this area and they all speak of restricter plates. Way too many wires for me. In Q-JET we trust .!!!

I do remember one instance where a prominent D1 Racer was told by the then DTD (may he R.I.P.) to remove his.

There are soooo many ways to "restirct" performance. Depends on which "vein" you want to bleed.

The best and safest way is to just move up a class - no fuss , no mess and yes , I know you dread a possible heads-up but the chances are slim and all the info you have on your combo is still useful and very close .Sooner or later the NHRA will figure out that the way things were before this year were much better and go back. All that plus you'll be amazed of all the racers that you have never raced you now will because of you different Q-runs .And just think of what you'll do for your average - we all have some idiots in our class that just have to be at the top of the sheet.
