Cooter Hildago is on an amazing run in hi stocker. Starting with his win at the Midwest nationals, he has made 44 passes down the drag strip including qualifying. Excluding his 4 red lights of -.005,-.003, -.015,-.011 in qualifying, his average reaction time on his other 40 passes including qualifying was approximately just over .017 !!!! With 13 lights of .009 or better with NO red lights during eliminations during that stretch. Just amazing driving. A truly well deserved championship. I’m in no way a statistician and could be off by a couple thou some where. But the young man is on a tear. Congrats to cooter and his dad for an awesome job. Oh by the way, the man drives a superstock car as well and wins a lot in that class also. Truly amazing. Congrats to the entire team on your 2022 stock eliminator WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!! PS if I’m off by a little on some of my numbers please overlook it. I’m in no way a statistician.

Without a doubt, one of the best out there.I bet the Country Dog's legs are hurting today from all of that jumping. He must have done a little cheerleading in high school.Congratulations to Cooter and the whole Hidalgo Racing team.Well deserved! Now,if NHRA would just let Georgie cook for the banquet.

The young man is an amazing foot brake racer
Watching him stage and not hearing a 2 step it was obvious to me he was old school racing both cars and all over the tree ! Congrats....

Those numbers are simply staggering but I'm not surprised. Going back to his IHRA days I've been truly amazed at how good a driver he is on both ends of the track. Congratulations again Cooter I think this is just the first of many NHRA championships you're going to win.

His driving was nothing shy of an amazing performance! Running two cars consistently at the level of competitiveness is not for the faint of heart. Congratulations to you and your father on a dream season! I,(also), suspect more Championships will follow!

They are obviously very busy at the track, but always have time to answer our many questions (as best they can) about how to tune and race F.I. cars.
Congratulations to the Hidalgo family |
