I was wondering who also has the same combination that I run. It's a 1970 Chevelle 454/450 rated 440. Just trying to figure out how many of us are out there. If you have one or know someone who does, could you please post it. Thanks Kevin Wells #3106

Bob, that was Joey Abbazzia's car. Do not know of many of those bad boys, great motor but a little heavy on the scales. Coming out east, let me know. Hope all is well.

Watching video from Atco it appears that car is a '71 454/425hp. I don't have up to date Nitro Joes stat sheet. Would love to make it to the east coast sometime. Thanks for helping.

Kevin, you're the only one out there. I would lobby for some hp off so you don't have to run so heavy. I bet you could get some. Compression in stock is not worth what it is in Super Stock. 71 LS 6 is 425 try for 430 or 435.

He hasn`t been out for a couple of years now, but there is a racer up here in Div. 6 who runs a 70 Chevelle SS convertible with a 450 HP LS6 454 in A+B/SA. In B/SA the car is well over 4000 lbs, around 3910 in A/SA. His name is Cyrus Gallant. It`s not that far under (about 5/10s on a good day), but he runs the car sparingly, on a pretty tight budget. I believe that he`s had the car since 73 or 74, and being a true SS convert. , he`s not too anxious to modify it too much, as he plans to put it back on the street one day. I just looked on the Auto Imagery website, there are a few pics of Cyrus`s Chevelle from Seattle in 2001 & 2002 on the site.
