Heard through the grape vine that a few Sportsman racers showed up at the Bristol national event during the day on Thursday, and were told they could not enter the facility to pit until Friday at 7am. Qualifying runs started at 8:30am on Friday morning, and first round was to be Friday afternoon. So glad that the NHRA officials really treat us Sportsman people so well. Why in the world would NHRA not allow racers to enter on Thursday during the day, knowing that they run first thing Friday morning? What the H*** are they doing!? Why is this becoming the norm for NHRA to keep treating the Sportsman racer so bad?

They had to have showed up late, after 7:00 pm or something. Otherwise this board would be going bananas.

I got there at 4 pm and was able to put with no issues. I saw trailers still coming on at 6 pm and being parked. Can say how late they left the gates open but it all seemed to work out. I know of a few that had to wait till the morning but not sure what time they arrived at the track Thursday evening
