Default Tom Hanna Estate auction, fabricator historical speed stash

This is pretty amazing to anyone who understands the specialty of the old time fabricators like Buttera Fjastad, Gilmore, etc. I admire the work those guys did. This guy was big on the cackle fest scene, but I never knew much about him. This is a pile of gear, fab tools and support equipment. He was a longime Kansas resident, and then moved to NC, anyone here know him personally?

It ends 27 April so you still have time to view.
See all the individual lots, to really see the small historic stuff.
This guy was rich with speed equipment, 392 Chrysler parts, much misc speed equipment.

Wow, he sure has some interesting stuff. I wonder what he was going to do with the diesel V12 Tank engine?

Is this the same Tom Hanna that built many really cool dragster bodies (in California) back in the day?

In the 60s and 70s Chassis builders like Don Long would do the frame and Hanna would build the body and aluminum work. He was an artist for sure.

That was an impressive amount of equipment for a one man operation (I think), just how many cordless tools does a guy need? And that shoe collection! Some pretty good money for a lot of things but a few bargains in the mix.
Does anyone know what the heck the 502 Thunder DOHC stuff is? All I could find Googling was a Valley Head Service 32 valve setup for a BB Chev but it uses forked rockers and the cam in the block. The blocks in the auction seem to have lifter bores but all four cams are also listed and that block doesn't appear to be a BB Chev design.

I met him at Bakersfield at the CHRR. Saw the red (was blue before) dragster there. He struck me as a real perfectionist. The type that would mow his lawn, then measure each blade of grass and if there was .001" difference in any , mow it again!

Perfectionist is an understatement. The Ranchero on the Porshe is unbelievable work. Did not realize it came with 4 pallets of parts. We will be selling a LOT of stuff. Like 5 restored Harmon Collins polished mags. Phish
