Slicks mounted, new(The right) upper control arms. Happy with the stance!

Oh yeah, I recognize that car! It's funny you're building this particular car because Smiley (Jazynka) has one like it and has been talking about building a stick shift stocker out of it for a few years. It's good to finally get some more class racers from Omaha...this year it will be you, me, Frank Allen SS/E, and Chris Kennedy A/SA. Rumor has it Lehrke might jump in, too!

Just went through the thread. Nice work. The brake booster in the early photos gave me a jolt. Biggest thing I've ever seen, and right in the middle of the engine bay. Glad to see it gone. Currently working on getting manual brakes done right myself at this time.

Love the build. I am a Ford man @ heart but had a 78 Malibu street car for a while.11.50s all day long thru full exhaust but had a T350 trans so the ride was boring.
![]() If you're interested, I have an adapter plate for manual brake conversion. It's a template I picked up off Maliburacing.com back in the day. Just shoot me an address. Brian |

As you'll see our interior has a ways to go. We finished the roll bar and found our sweet spot for the seats. We had to make some mounts for the sliderails. We have a new headliner, carpet, and dash waiting to go in just need to get the car sealed good first.

Pretty happy with our rear end turn out for a couple DIY'rs... You'll see our pinion angle and slick clearance in the following photos. Our initial setup is at 2 degrees.

Clutch Linkage setup done for the most part. Need to finalize what headers we want to go with. We believe these are too big for the 305(1-3/4" OD). Then we can work on our linkage going to our throwout bearing fork.
You can also see we started to run brake lines. The line-lock solenoid is mounted. ![]() |

I love the car but couldn't help but notice how well organized your garage is, LOL. |
