I suspect there is the rest of the story. Like the TV schedule. I do know at the Vegas strip the reason the quota is so low is according to the track, NHRA is concerned about the "schedule"" live ??? I have been a spectator since I sold my S/G car and I ran S/ST before that. Watching those two classes and S/C is boring to say the least. The spectators just don't relate to the throttle stop coming on and off.
That's why I'm building a new stock eliminator car. Hopefully the spectators will prefer to watch my '67 Shelby GT500 race a '69 Camaro heads up in A or B than two cars that shut off and coast to half track and hopefully NHRA will notice also.
