1970 is by itself. It has a step at radiator support.

Good luck on that one, they are all of a sudden gone. I wouldn't mind finding a stock steel hood if one comes around. No reproduction body panels are out there for these cars at all, except for the deck lid, it's the same as a 68-72 Chevelle, and the panel under the rear windshield between the package tray and the front of the deck lid. I had a fun time looking for this stuff a few years ago when I built one of these cars. Call me if you want to discuss this further.

I made my 71 into a 70, easier said than done. The RF fender is a 71, the left is a 70. There is a locating pin on the front edge of the fender for the headlight extension that had to be drilled, the core support is different as the headlights are closer together on the 70 than the 71-2, the front bumper is different, the clear parking lights aren't available any more, but the amber lamp assembly for a 70 El Camino is, the headlight bezels are available reproduction, the fender extensions show up on Ebay occasionally, I bought a grille at a swap meet about 10 years ago for $15.00, that was then, now they're hard to find. My hood is a '70, the little spear hood ornament is available retro, as is the grille emblem, I pulled off a pretty good copy and the car is presentable. It still has the 71 door and interior panels, but all the rest of the stuff is a pretty good clone. Get in touch and we'll compare notes. congrats in getting into the Winternationals.
