Keystone Raceway Park
Met a lot of people out there.
Had a great time with Mike Bolton and Mary Leigh. Mike even added a Pure Stock Sticker to his Plum Crazy F/CM Dart. May convert next year to G/PS with his 64 Dart. He and I and others that dropped by were bench racing so much was afraid someone would call the COPs. ;-) Mike went rounds both days. On Saturday my day ended losing to Dave Summerton J/SA Olds. However got him again first round on Sunday. Beat him with a .0007 Light. Got a lucky Bye in Round 2 Round 3 ran up against Saturday Stock Winner Dave Erny D/CM Camaro. Luck was on my side winning with a .0258 light to his .0297 both 4 over our dial. Semi lost to eventual Sunday Stock Winner John Nechiporchik. Yeah got too excited beating myself with a Red Light. He is quite the gentlemen and it was a good win for him. Then he took out Tim Fletcher in the Final Met a person called George Old Goat who worked for GM and was one of the designers on the tail lights for the 94-96 Impala SS. Nice conversation about his days in Car design. Helped the McGrath's a bit who frantically worked on their Duster that had an annoying oil leak. During quiet moments people would come and share stories about the Caprices and Impalas they owned. Others asking about what was Pure Stock. Of course showing them my $400 Sink Drain Velocity Stack.. Met my ole friend Barry his wife and daughter all now IHRA Tech Officials. So good to see them doing well. Well that was my wonderful weekend at Keystone.
