Default My proposal to NHRA

Forget about it. Negative feedback is fine. Constructive feedback is fine. Hate fueled emails, pms I'm done with this. Im not ruining my soft *** combination because of some proposal your making to nhra, your proposal will ruin my combo, I like bracket racing, your only helping your buddies', blah blah blah. As I said on Facebook all the haters dont want class racing they want to set up their BBQ pits and bracket race. Hope you get what you want. **** it....

What would be the downside to class at divisional's?

My guess, many egos couldn't handle getting beat for class so often.......

Why race a class car if you are afraid to run heads up?

We had class at Atco on Friday and a CIC race on Saturday night for class winners. Who wouldn't want class at a divisional? Unless Saturday morning guys don't want to miss Friday class? That is understandable.

So I removed it. I did have some interesting comments. One said if class eliminations was added to division races they would quit. Other said my points for qualifying was bad because only 150,000 factory cars would get all the points. Oh well cant make everyone happy. Like I said most really liked it including some of the SRAC members. Thanks for the input. Ed
I would have been for the class racing at Divisionals but I wasn't asked. Jim

Go to pg.2 read my thread Let's talk about setting records. I clearly asked for everyone's opinion on the topics. I also sent out over 170 emails with about 60 not returned. So either their busy or dont care.......

Just asking, what would running class at divisionals do for the racer aside from torturing the cars. Currently the number of contingency sponsors has dropped to the lowest level that I have seen in 40 years of racing
Why not first ask nhra to cut the classes back to say 40. Run a/t & sticks together, put the modified cars in comp, & combine the factory cars in with Gt or s/s, then try to get sponsors to pay class again. Do I currently have a car that could win class, no, not by any streach. But if the classes were cut back I would bet a big number that want class would bail

For the sake of the class this is the direction we should be following, adding a class for every new car certainly hasn't worked
