I can't say I thought much of this radial racing. 2nd round qualifying was mayhem. Wrecks and track oil downs all evening tonight.

After tuning into the live web cast, it's clear this Drag Racing is alive and well. Nearly 300 entries, $50,000 to win in the top class, 22,000 people watching the webcast, so many spectators that they were turning people away, and people donating and Sending PayPal donations to add to the purse. Exciting heads up racing with diverse engines, NO2, turbos, blowers and all motor. This is where the young people and lots of $$ are. The webcast was well done.

26,300 at 7.30 watching on web! Sad next week will be the Pro Am from there and might get 2000 to watch! NHRA may need stuff like this to get the younger crowd involved?

There were WAAAAAAAAAAY too many people on the starting line. There was barely enough room for the cars to stage. This wasn't just for the finals either.

Great racing, I streamed it while out in the shop all weekend.
At some point I was watching Pro 275 and saw Sean in his Murder Nova wheelie the car across the 660 at over 160 mph for the win. Crazy. They had to close the gate due to the raceway being at capacity. Last edited by Troy Henderson; 02-23-2016 at 11:45 AM. |

I attended this race last year and it was by far my favorite race I have been to. I have been going to NHRA div and nat's since the 90s and nothing compares to a Duck race for excitement and crazy performance.
