The first video that most you have already seen is JC Beattie in his ATI COPO Camaro under the hood. As you can see the tensioner goes nuts. The Second video is JC with an upgraded tensioner now running a 3 speed trans. JC tells me it help a bit, what do you guys think.

Looks like the belt has less distortion on lower pulley with the new set-up. Three speed helped out a bunch with more mechanical leverage.
Still to many idler pulleys on these supercharged cars.(SCJ+COPO)

The SCJ uses 6 idler pulleys and 2 different designs. The 2013 used 1 single belt to run everything. The redesigned one used 2 belts and was a better design. Still to many idler pulleys and too long of belt for both for my liking.

Definitely a tensioner with a beefier casting and seems to control the pulley windup better. I think everyone with a 2 step should watch the videos as they ( not all ) might try modifying their routine in staging ( time wise ) with the 2 step. It sure does slap that pulley around and that pulley is just a window to what is going on inside the motor. Just my observance .

According to David Reher, it is the valvetrain that gets trashed on the two step.
