SORRY,but that's all FOLKS, BUT I THINK THAT'S PRETTY MUCH THE LAST STRAW WITH ME
I'm thinking Ford called NHRA's bluff about demanding they get back behind the FUEL QUEERS AKA FORCE &co How'd that deal work out with Butwiper? aka BUDWEISER?Buds not the only nasty beer brewed in America and they still sell enough to take their add dollars anywhere they want to Obama couldn't tell Ford what to do so did they really think that Compton, and Light had any more pull? ![]()

the thing about being the OFFICIAL anything of Nascar is that these companies actually do post contingency monies unlike many of NHRA's OFFICIAL COMPANIES---most of them provide NHRA with products to use during the racing season which allows them to advertise their product and it allows NHRA from having to either buy or lease a similar products
Kinda off the theme of this a little bit but a few years back we approached one of the largest drain cleaner companies d-r-a-in 0 about the possibility of entering into a marketing agreement (aka sponsorship). They were a subsidiary of DIAL soap at the time. They looked at us like we were nuts. Why would we want to advertise on any race car we were asked. I told the national product advertising manager that everybody I knew unless he was homeless had at least one drain in their home, and sometime in the future it was going to get plugged up and when it did he better hope they reach for his product to unclog the drain. Made perfect sense to me but he looked at me in total disbelief, totally bewildered. We did not get any help from them and shortly thereafter he was replaced. About 3 weeks later d-r-a-in appeared as the primary sponsor of a Busch series car. End of story. |
