Default Stick Shift Racers

Got an e-mail tonight about a Stick Shift Race
Those "Shifty" Ozark gear bangers are at it again.
The race is at Centerville Dragway
Centerville, Ar
April 6,
$700.00 to win $200.00 r/u , $50.00 entry.
for more info go to: centervilledragway.com
Always a fun race to watch (which I have to) or participate.
I can't make that one, but might make the second one they have in the planning stages...

Adger. NHRA seems to think I have a manual trans in the car. I told them it must be a new and improved (real) clutchless. LOL
At Gainesville the tower was arguing with the staging lane guys. That I should be in the stick combo.
Do I qualify for this race? LOL (just kidding)

Art,
They may be from the hills of Ark, Mo & OK, but I think these Ozark "good old boys" know a "Stick" when they see one. Sounds like that may not be the case with the NHRA guys. You may have a hard time trying to convince them it isn't an auto.

Question Re: Stick Shift Racers

Art, if I remember correctly, that's not the first time they tried to put you in the stick class, right? Jim

Art is a stick car, and I'm an auto car.

After about 30 minutes of sitting in the back of the lanes getting paired up for combo class at Gainesville, they finally realized that I am not and auto car, and Art is not a stick car....haha. Not that it's hard to tell or anything. Bruce was laughing at the other end of the track about it when I went by. He even made it a point to stop and say something about it.
