Default Divisional Entry fees vs pay outs

I notice our entry fee went up to $160.00 for the division 3 race at Indy but I can't find a pay out sheet to see if they raised the pay out our not. the crew pass is $50.00 and to pay $210.00 to race for $1000 or $1200 is stupid. this may be my last points race.

Just to give you a heads-up, this is what the payout structure looks like for Division 1 but, it's all about the Wally.....right?

The 2012 Purse Structure will be identical to 2011.

Entry fees will remain at $170 per entry. Crew fees will be reduced to $50 for an event restricted area crew pass.

If car counts remain over 64 cars per class, the purse will remain the same as it was in 2011. Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, and Competition Eliminator, Top Sportsman, and Top Dragster will be subject to the same purse reductions, based on car count.

The following is a summary of the purse structure for the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Events for 2011.

Super Street, Super Gas, Super Comp, Stock, Super Stock

33+ Cars – R-3-100 – R-4-150 – R-5-200 – R-6-250 – R-7-300 - R/U-600 – Win – 1500

17-32 Cars – R-3-100 – R-4-150 – Runner-up – 400 – Win – 1200

9-16 Cars – R-3-100 Runner-up – 300 – Win – 600

5-8 – Runner-up – 150 – Win – 300

3-4 – Runner-up – 100 – Win -- 200

1-2 – Runner-up – 0 – Win -- 150

It's bad when you have to win or runner up just to break even. 3rd on down you cover your entry fee but not much towards travel expense. When I use to bracket race I would see how many rounds it would take to break even, before I left home. 2 races the same weekend would at least be a help towards towing expense.

Since your in div 3 you might what to give the Midwest Super Comp Series some consideration we usually offer two races for one tow $100 entry fee per race with a $1000 winner’s payout (for 20 cars or more) for five rounds of racing we also start the payout with first round winners.
We race Saturday and Sundays so there is no need to take off work to get there Thursday or Friday.
If you want more information visit the web site @ midwestsupercompseries.com or give me a call.

Give us a shot Dave, it would be great to have you race with us. Drag Larry with you, too.Even Higgins had fun.If I remember correctly, he took our money at one race and hasnt given us a chance to win it back from him yet. If you would like a payout schedule, maybe Bill can email you one or we should probably have it put up on the website, or the midwest supercomp series facebook page. Its always a $100 entry fee, but the track fee changes depending on the track we are at. As for divisionals, I will probably only run 66 and Cordova, since they are close, and maybe Earlville. Other than the contingencies from Earlville last year, I got a much better bang for my buck with the MWSC.

Google NHRA division 3 and when you open the home page look to the left side and see schedule, you can print the flyer and it has all your info.

I made the mistake of making an Excel sheet with expenses on it and the payouts (I also looked for the divisional payouts and couldn't find them).
I plan on hitting Indy, Norwalk, and Pacemakers 1st S/ST race. After those races I will decide if I'm going to spend the money it takes to go to the further away races.
