Default 1968 Camaro 302

I just found out my 69 vette has a 68 camaro 302 rather than the 350/350 motor. Would this motor be of interest to anyone?

I was told it ran like a raped ape before the vette was parked in a garage in 77. So after 29 years the owner needed to sell his house and the car needed to go. He said it was wrecked twice, once when he owned it, and once before. He is not at all mechancially inclined so he has no idea when or how that engine was installed.

So.... I have no idea of the millage, but it had to be put in the vette before 75, and the vette is showing 57k. But no idea how many miles the camaro had on it, where it is now or anything.

VO312MO and 18N403*** are the numbers.

Anyone know how to see if the camaro is on the road? or crushed?

The 302 is somewhat apart at this point.

The Heads are off 3927188 (last # could be a 6, I could confirm) and we changed (2) Valve stem seals so far

The Fuel, water and oil pumps are off (in box for cleaning)

Oil pan off (looks like it was repaired at some point (so many unanswered questions....)

Intake off, cleaned and ready for paint 3927184 GM5 R

Carb off, very nice shape, needs gaskets on both fuel bowls I would say 64681, 8524,0457 GR4237B

Valve covers, Aluminum off, cleaned and yes.... these have some questions to them also... one have a cracked at one of the bolt holes, the other as the same but it about an inch long.... Not broken through, but hairline cracks.

Engine: Almost all hand cleaned, almost ready for paint or serious bead or dipping or whatever is done..... Looks GREAt! 18N4032** V0312MO, 3914678 casting

I want to do something real soon.... If any of you want to make an offer, you can do so..... if not, no problem, I may just put on Ebay if I don't hear back from the few that show serious interest.
