Default Purpose Built Camaro

GM Performance Parts posted this on their Facebook so it seems it is in the future. About damn time. Hopefully when it comes out all these things will run each other in their own class.

Scoggins-Dickey now have a 2011 Camaro body-in-white available, $6990.00 with free shipping!

Now - if GM would massage their parts manual, this might be a good start to any number of projects. One big problem I see is the NHRA classification shipping weight, 4000 some-odd pounds!

I think it would be safe to assume they are going to do the same with the Camaro as was done with the 3700-pound Mustang and 4100-pound Challenger.....but then again, this is GM we are talking about.

Depends on how much "grease" GM gives to NHRA.

Too cheap they would just as soon eat shrimp & lobster @ Corvette races. Eat corn dogs cry in their beer (how would you like to be the exec that ok'd trading Kyle Busch for little E?) why do it know? At $125,000 + for complete car how many of you GM supporters are going to step up to table? Not many beside by 2012 season Stock & Super are lStock will be combined. When NHRA bean counter figure how many $$$ they losing it will be bad news for all. If someone in pr at GM was smart they say we're not doing it and say we don't want to screw it up for all the loyal racers who have supported us over the years and just pay alot of contingency for All Chevy racers.
