Toby,
Great video's Thanks so much for doing those and this thread. Also thanks to the Class Racer member that post the Live Tower Feed. Sorry I cannot remember what member post that. But THANK YOU! I wish all of the tracks would do that. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/from-the-tower-at-lvms I went on the live feed a few minutes ago to only catch the last 4 runs of the Super Stock first round of the day and 3 were singles. Stock was before that. Is there anyway of getting today's schedule so we do not miss anymore Stock and Super Stock rounds. |

Loved the stock in the lanes video. It is always good to put a face with a car. Looks like it was plenty chilly that morning! Keep up the good work.

Matt,
You can see the schedule here: http://dragracecentral.com/DRCStory....23707#indextop They DQ'd the truck again. The reason I heard was they didn't have the proper grill on it as Randy Hutchings pointed out yesterday. Could be just an excuse because I haven't heard of anybody getting kicked out for incorrect body parts in a long time. I was able to film a lot of the first round of Stock because I was the third pair out. I got Super Stock first round also. -Toby Last edited by Toby Lang; 03-27-2011 at 01:59 PM. |

Toby, thanks for encluding a shot of Jon Irvings new SS/MA Aspen
(the old Larry Harrell stocker). It's good to see that car out running again after all these years of being in storage.

Well, I just had an interesting race with Calvert's CJ. They were getting ready to pull us out to run and I looked over to see what his dial-in was. They still only had the 10. on there. I knew he had run a 10.40 in the first round. When we got to the water box they had his dial as a 10.00 on the little dial-in readouts they have in front of the water box. I thought maybe they hopped it up with the laptop and were trying to screw with me.
We did our burn outs and next thing I know the starter is radioing to the tower to change his dial to a 10.41. The starter comes over to me and says they had to change his dial and I told him I know they had a 10 flat on it when we pulled out to go to the water box. He asked me if I wanted to contest it. I thought about it for a while. I know John and he's a real nice guy and has treated Jim and I real good over the years, but it's not my fault they wait until the last second to put their dial on. So I said I wanted to contest it. Then the starter said we would have to back out while he got a ruling. People have told me they saw them put the dial-in on in the water box. I mean what is there to rule on? We were about the 4th from last pair and they said we would be the last pair out. I wasn't even sure what the ruling was, but I thought it was pretty obvious. While we were waiting to go John was under the hood, taking the throttle stop off I imagine. Then when we were in the burn out box I saw his dial was 10.00 like it should have been in the first place. I figured they would pick up some, but I didn't think they would pick up that much, so I backed off on the tree. I had a .067 and he had a .008. I got there first by .004 but broke out .01. They ran a 10.05. FML -Toby |

I cannot believe it. Right in the middle of the Stock Eliminator round. The live feed quits. That sucks.

Beside that - I would have not guessed he'd pick-up that much ( well maybe with his throttle stop adjusted ) and run that close to his new dial ............Guess we all learned a lesson from your run - never back off the tree .............
