At the Ecology Center on Imperial Hwy in Santa Fe Springs there is
a 2002 Pontiac Firebird red paint/grey interior - no visable body damage, it has the 3800 V6 engine so maybe that is dead and that is why it ended up in the wrecking yard. No rear wheel drive mopars at all other than a middle 60's Dodge P/U with the old style 8-3/4 w/the axle nuts in the center of the brake drums and a mid to late 60's Dodge Van 273/318 with engine between the front seats and auto shifter on dash, straight axle and old crager wheels on it.

I spent many a happy day there. Is it still on Imperial Hwy. about a block East of Carmenita Rd where I and John Greenwood (AHRA Superstock Champ. 1972) had Car Lots next to each other? John's 65 Bel Wagon and the Old Orange Crate 62 Wagon G/SA both made their last pass in the crusher out there as I recall. The seats in my Dart stocker came directly out of there when I had the beef about not having the correct seats in 1995.

GTX John,
Yes it's still in the same location. Only problem is the lack of older RWD vehicles particularly of the Mopar brand, unless you can use parts off of a van or P/U.

I used to go to the Ecology location west of Riverside back in the late 80's.
I worked 2nd shift so I was over there 2-3 times a week. Best deal I found was a nice straight 70-71 Buick GS hood for 25 bucks. Sweet. I was always amazed at how quickly a vehicle would be picked apart in less than 2 weeks.

I bought it is West Covina pretty much stripped to a rolling shell.....I think it was from a mechanic from Majestic Chyrsler/Ply. out there in Covina area. Possibly one of the Foley brothers or one of their friends.
