I am looking at the cover of my National Dragster and can't help but think.. How in God's name is that Hoover vacuum cleaner coming out of that hood scoop legal? Looks like they beheaded Snuffaluffagus. Truly putting the BS in SS/BS
HOOD (Modified Stock) Mandatory. Fiberglass permitted. Carburetor must be completely covered by hood, bubble, or scoop, which must be part of car hood. Hood latches, hinges, springs, and brackets may be removed. Maximum of 5-inch hood scoop (hood to top of opening) with one opening permitted. Tilt or removable front ends prohibited. See General Regulations 7:6. |

We have the rule book which Div. 1,2, 3, 4, & 5 has to play by. Then we have the West Coast Rulebook which is a lot better. But the BEST rulebook is the "California Car Cover" rulebook.

But I'm still proud to run to true super stock car.
I'm a math teacher, I'm around whining all day maybe I picked up some bad habits. Once in a while I still whine about my poor father getting screwed out of his first and only win (1989 Super Stock Nationals at Maple Grove) because of his wheelbase being too short by a quarter of an inch. The win went to the runner up guy who's name I won't disclose who was using illegal electronics at the time. This sport has always been political but it's more addicting than any damn drug out there so we don't stop playing it. Last edited by Bobby Fazio; 09-29-2010 at 01:03 PM. Reason: I was not at all serious with my "guarantee" but it was offending to some and steered the thread off course. My apologies. |

Guarantee???? Really? Tell you what-I bet we could get enough people together to loan you the money. But how about if you don't win on your "guarantee", you pay back the entire loan PLUS $20,000 in interest and penalty since it's so easy in one of those cars....

You're on brother! $20,000 interest? I guess that's accurate though considering I can barely get student loans for grad school in this tight economy. Can't we go through a credit union? Don't let my Joe Namath prediction that has no shot of coming true take away from my original post.. I'll save that for another thread.. get your checkbook out!
