Anyone know why so many 67-69 Camaros don't run a rear spoiler?

turbulance, I was told the setup that works the best is the front 'chin' spoiler with no trunk lid spoiler as it creates drag

Back in the day my 69 Z ran quicker with the front spoiler only... Time has erased how much quicker, but it was worth the effort. It also ran more MPH without te rear spoiler.. Seems like it was 1 1/2 to 2 MPH, but time has made the numbers fuzzy...I ran without the rear until Tech noticed and said it was part of the Z-28 package..put it on...

Agee, that is one thing on a long list of things people keep telling me is wrong with my car. I supposedly would be faster. With a Firebird rear hatch than the Trans Am hatch/wing it came with. The wing on mine, I'm told, weighs 30lbs? But, it is on the rear of the car. I have not found anybody that has tested that on one like mine. If somebody knows for certain I would like to know. Angelo??
