New camaro price?

Hey gang,

I've got a good friend who is looking at buying the 6.2 camaro loaded with an auto trans, (2SS)

The dealer is marking up the sticker $900, after everything it's about $42K.

Does that sound normal?

I think around here they're getting around $34K or so for a loaded Camaro with the "big" engine. At least that is what a couple of customers have told me they were quoted.

Both chevrolet dealers here are adding 5 grand to whatever the sticker is and they will NOT budge a bit. On the add on sticker that they put on it is called a "Availability Surcharge"

Go to edmunds.com and look at new car prices. I was offered a really nice white with orange stripes six speed 2 SS/RS for cost this week I wanted it but orderred the Dually that I need! I got it at dealer cost. Cars aren't selling right now, so the prices and incentives are pretty good.

I can assure you some dealer will gladly sell you for window sticker or lower.I'm not a chevy dealer, but a Dodge dealer. Things just ain't that good.

They were going for around 36K on the internet before the holidays.

I work at a gm dealership selling them for msrp all day long. 4 in stock all 2ss.

Doyle,

Kurtis Chevrolet in Morehead City sells at sticker. Of course you've got to deal with the normal add-ons, but no limited availibility surcharge.

Last week they had a burgandy automatic SS in stock. Not sure if it is still there but I can check at lunch time if your friend is still interested.
