It sucks to think my nearest in division race is 7+ hours away. What happened to Skyview? Nice track, car counts were better this year (1st race). Rain date was a poor choice. What about Dunn Tire or NYIRP?

John, you can go to Imokolee FL in Feb.
It is a wild card race and would count as an in division. seriously, I agree with you. I live in West Virginia and Pittsburgh is the closest track to me. It is Div 3 and is 2 hrs. The other div 3 tracks are 4-7 hours from us and the tracks in Va (Richmond and VMP) and Md (MIR) are 6 hrs at best.

If you go to Imokolee, make sure you take along lots of money to pay fines in North Carolina, unless you have your rig licensed for total weight of truck and trailer w/ a "CDL" personal license, and a permit for Florida towing. Or you can flat-tow your racecar w/
one of those Hertz or Avis front wheel lift tag-a-long thingies. I think N.C. is letting them pass...for now. |
