Time trials start at 2 PM on the Sat the 19th of Sept for the Midwest Class Racers S/SS combo at Thunder Valley, Marion, SD. Eliminations at 6 PM. Sun the 20th, time trials start at 9 AM with eliminations at 1 PM.

Over $3000 committed so far for the week end at Oahe Speedway, Pierre, SD races the 26th and 27th. The Aaron Koppien Memorial race is on Sat the 26th, time trials start at 9 AM, S/SS up 1st, eliminations at 1 PM. Round money after the 1st round for the Aaron Koppien Memorial!

Sunday schedule on the 27th for the NHRA National Open is time trials starting at 9 AM. Eliminations start at 1 PM.

Test & Tune on Fri, the 25th, starting about 4 PM. Parking allowed all night. Here is your chance to set a record and race for some GOOD money.

Doug Engels with his GT/FA Corvette defeated Tom Lewis with his I/SA Chevelle in the finals Saturday night. Monty Jones with his G/SA Camaro was low qualifier.

35 cars qualified for Sat night. 34 qualified on Sunday. Rick Ryan was low qualifier on Sunday.

I will have the Sunday results later. "Christine" was ugly, broken distributor, stuck starter, etc. I think I will change her name to "Petunia", she may treat me better!

Time trials for S/SS will start at 9AM for the Oahe Speedway races Sat and Sun. Some of the flyers are stating 10 AM, that is incorrect!

Gates will be open all night Friday night for parking. Test and Tune, $30 starting at 4 PM Friday the 25th.

The tenative payouts are UP at the Oahe Speedway web site. If you win 1st round in the Aaron Koppien Memorial race on Saturday, you are going to get money.

Based on a 32 car field, the winner Sat will get $1600, runner up $800. The payouts start 2nd round and will be prorated depending on final car count.

Based on a 30 car field on Sun, the winner will get $1632, the runner up, $816. The payouts start with the quarter finals.

The more cars, the BETTER the payout will be! Can we get 50?
