Default ford 5.0 injection help

i'm ready to give up. have a holley 950 system on my l/sa mustang. trying to tune the new motor, got it idleing good, then the engine just shuts off. finally get it restarted and it wont idle below 1800 rpm. who else makes a computer system that works on these cars? tired of the problems with this system. thanks for the help, bob.

ViPec ecus are about as easy to use as any of them, come complete with a data logger built in. One bow does it all. Plus they are updating firmware constantly They are coming out with some firmware that lets you go back to a datalogged run and change the settings be it rpm driven or time etc. Right now there is a quick tune function that will correct the program to whatever afr you designate.
Plus the fact that they use a multitude of sensors and triggers. No need to buy the kitchen sink with the unit. And they are a lot cheaper than the comparable units (motech).

We have trouble free, easy to tune Accel DFI units on both our FoMoCo EFI stockers.

Why are EFI cars allowed to run other than stock equipment in their fuel delivery systems?

A 340 1971 Duster had BETTER have a 750 cfm Thrermoquad with the right number on it, or he'll never get through tech. Downleg boosters are not accepted on 428 CJ's, the last time I checked, yet EFI seems not to have these types of restrictions.

Why is that?

Am I comparing software with hardware here???

yes it is just different software. we still have to run stock throttle bodies and manifolds.

The FAST XFI system works really well. Comes with a wide band and the internal data logger option is slick.
