Wanted: 396 cast GM crank that is std size on all journals, must be staright and magnafluxed clean.

It is not on your list of ideal locations, but have you seen this? I have never bought from him, but he claims they are NOS. Maybe someone one the board has purchased one from him and can comment.ffice

Those are second generation non twist forgings, as shown by the style and location of the forging number. They are heavier than the old original forgings.
They are not at all what the original poster is looking for, he's looking for a virgin cast steel crank, not a forged crank. It's a VERY rare piece, the last one I had I traded for a virgin early forging. I haven't seen a nice one in 3-4 years, I haven't seen one in the condition he's looking for in 10-20 years.
