Taking a survey.
How often would you want to run Class Eliminations? Every event? Every other event? Or a couple of special events a year? Alan |

I would like to see it be at least a couple of times a year in each Division.

Two or three times a year as long as it doesnt require you to have to be there on Thursday.

1 national event per division per year, Stock and Super Stock, no entry quotas, qualified field.

A couple of times in each division, more than NHRA has dropped down to.

Certainly having enough to allow most teams to have a crack at class eliminations a couple of times in each geo area would be great!

I'd say one national event per division and half of all divisionals. It'd work out great for D2 NHRA this year given we already have class at Gainesville, then run class at the two doubles at Rockingham and SGMP.

Class Eliminations are a great idea, now can we get the fields back up to 96 or 128 so we can have class eliminations.

I believe if you had class more often than not, you'd see that jump in participation. Gainesville has been knocking on the door of a qualified field for the last few years and they always have class.

NHRA use to run Stock or SS Class at every national event and would alternate Stock and SS Class from one year to the next at the each events. They also ran both Stock and SS Class at all SportsNationals, Gainsville, Indy, Vegas 1 & 2...and maybe one or two west coast Nationals. In todays national event climate, shorten schedules and shortage in staff, class is not really suited for the national event stage anymore. I would agree that at least 2 Class runoff races per division(at divisionals/opens) + Columbus, Belle Rose and Indy would definitely be well received by all STK & SS competitors.
