Made for a late night, but got our issues resolved thanks to Jason Line. Hoping the only issues Dragweek throws at us.

I am, riding, and doing the track duties with a couple buddies. It’s a different scene than normal, but loads of fun. This our second year doing this. Currently we are driving between tracks(Rockingham/Bristol). We are in a 1972 Big Block Chevelle on e85 using a solid flat tappet camshaft…we wanted to do it more old school style. Lots and lots of LS based stuff, which is the best way to achieve best performance and drivability. We just out having a good time. May get more serious if we continue it.

Have watched some of it on the Motor Trend YouTube channel, Freiburger and Lohnes do a good job announcing and providing color. Plan on going up to Augusta (House of Hook) on Thursday to check it out firsthand.

Good luck!

Hot Rod Drag Week is one of those bucket list items for me. Sadly didn't really know about the event the last time they were in the Northeast. I can't believe you'd run the risk of flattening your camshaft every time you start the engine with those flat tappet lifters . Good Luck, be safe, and have fun!
