Default Legal carbs

Can someone please confirm if you can use carb numbers other than those listed for your years combo, as long as the bore sizes spec’d match?
Thanks
Mike

It must be the correct type of carb.. Other than that, throttle bore and venturi size.

Quote Billy "It must be the correct type of carb.. Other than that, throttle bore and venturi size."

The way I read it the "Brands/MFG" as well as the throttle bores/venturi must be correct.
This may be a bag of worms with the new China Knock Off carbs..
Getting bounced might not be the best way to find out...

Thanks guys
Yes it would be same mfg. Looking at, for example, a ‘66 afb vs a ‘66 or ‘67 with the same bore dimensions.
I am looking at a ‘66 dodge combo but use a ‘65 - ‘70 carb with the same spec.
Thanks
Mike

Depending on the year and model, Mopars used all brands of carbs: Carter Thermoquad, AVS, AFB, Holley, and even Quadrajet.
