Trying to find the correct length of bolts. Have a ‘89 302 and a ‘72 C4. I know it’s a 7 1/6” x 14 bolt, but can’t decide what is the correct length. The bellhousing mounting flange is about 2”.

Here is an effective method of finding out what you need. Take a small diameter rod of sufficient length and determine depth of each hole. There may be more than one length of bolt needed. Just make sure they are all grade 8.
There may be a kit with the bolts you need, just sayin.

Haven't found a kit, looks to me like they need to be 2 3/4" long but I like things spelled out for me. I've already bought parts for this car that wouldn't work. This is the first my first attempt at a Ford after racing Chevy's for about 40 years.
