Usually everyone gets in, BECAUSE the majority of hemi racers don’t run the ELIMINATOR. I suppose they didn’t tell you that when you bought your car ? LOL. ……LOL ……LOL …..

Yeah I have followed the class forever. You are saying they allow 155 to race in the eliminator?

Only 128 race in the eliminator, the alternates will fill in for the Hemi cars that don’t show ….or for others that suffered parts failure …

NHRA sent a message asking how many SS/AH racers were planning on running the regular S/S eliminator. If they opted out it then allowed an additional entry to the program. That should allow more entries into the program and many less 1st round byes. Good
will for everyone involved. |

Well I’m running both because this is my last race for the year. I am tearing the car apart and switching from Automatic to a G-Force

Not that really matters but I keep hearing a number of 155,not sure where that came from. It has been 150 since NHRA announced it quotas a couple of months ago. It is 151 today. That is because past champs, World champs etc can enter even after the quota is full. But really 5 cars won't matter. Especially with "Waldo" returning

Looking down the list of 151 entered as of this morning there are a LOT of quality cars. The -78 number thrown out there looks pretty close. Come eliminations there will be several hanging around the rear of staging to fill in for no shows. If the weather forecast changes dramatically that could change things.

Who's driving Waldo this year?
Mr. Phish speaks in a Cajun dialect that is hard for a displaced Lowcountry-South Carolinian-Metro-NewYawka-Greek-Italian hard to understand. Capeesh? Last edited by Frank Castros; 08-25-2022 at 08:21 PM. |
