So sad to hear. Always enjoyed his musings. RIP, John.
I believe this was his last post here on Class Racer. And, one of his best ever: http://classracer.com/classforum/showthread.php?t=82105 Last edited by 1matcoman; 05-23-2022 at 12:32 PM. |

So very sorry to hear this. Johnny D was always gracious to me whenever we crossed paths even said he enjoyed reading my "Live" reports which I accepted as a huge compliment. RIP Johnny D and condolences to the family.

Terrible news, got to know John better as he welded up my track locator bar at the 2020 BabyGators. Was so impressed how industrious he was so know he tackled everything with gusto; his articles were great and reflected his passion, his last article writing about wheeling his grandson around in a golf cart will be the image I will always carry with me. I couldn’t listen to any of the live broadcasts this past weekend, they simply made me miss listening to Unk. These losses are mounting and makes me read again Gary Sinnett’s article from couple of weeks back. Grab the gusto like John. RIP John.

These sad announcements are happening far too frequently. Drag racing has lost another great man, RIP John.
