Default Slow stocker ie T/SA and the belts

I can't recall the rule, if you put SFI belts in a car that doesn't require them, do you still have to replace them every two years? Have been, and my collection of used belts is out of control now.

Thanks

Eric

No, but you still need the 5 point deal with a roll bar.

most tracks will not let you run with expired aftermarket belts, no matter what the rules say, some tracks have there own rules, My lap belts in my 15 sec. 1969 charger are 53 years old

Our division tech director point blank told me that if the class does not require a roll bar, that you can run an expired date harness.

Belts in our N/SA wagon expired 14 years ago.
It does have a Roll bar.
Used to be pretty fast I/SA till it got 19 more HP with 360.

Thanks everyone. It will be nice to leave the pro-1 belts in it, they have the red white and blue in the logo, which color matches the car which has a cage in it. If anyone is in need of expired latch link belts just reach out. I even have a brand new set in the box, that I bought for one of the fleet, but didn't get to install.

That’s what I would do…could avoid a lengthy argument with an over zealous tech person roaming the lanes.
