Default Yakima Combo dbl header

We obviously haven't had a lot of opportunities to race this year so I wanted to get the ball rolling on making people aware of the dbl header at Yakima schd for 10 & 11 Oct. I talked to them today and they said they have no reason to think this schd won't hold so let's see what we can do to support the race. We ran this last year and had a good time, they gave us a designated pit area and treated us quite well. We don't have a lot of combos any more so let's support the tracks that are still giving us the opportunity.

Jim, indeed it was a great event. You guys got treated very well and the parking set-up was cool. I hope many local racers make this event this year. I am not sure if I can make it or not. Lots of stuff going on right now. If I do make it, I hope to help Larry as much as I can. He did a very good job last year with the ladder and such.

Jim, you won on Sunday, if I remember correctly.

I've got no reason not to be there. Mike and Larry did a great job last year as well as the work Brian did with the with all our time slips and the ladder. Looking forward to it.

Dave, thanks for the memory jog. I had forgotten about what all Brian did.

Yes, definitely still on, they sent me an email a few days ago to confirm. There is a flyer on their site. Jim

Jim, The Stock / SS Combo at Renegade Oct 10-11th, I did not find the event flyer on their website. Is the combo race a 1/4 mile? The flyers I did see indicated several races were 1/8 mile.

Steve Teeter STK/SS M/SA, SS/MA 620.

Steve,

The race is still on the schedule. I talked with Derek several times a few weeks ago and he confirmed we are good to go. He said he was working on some potential sponsor deals to increase the purse. Hope he is successful.

All racing should be 1/4 mile. At a bracket race a few weeks ago they switched to 1/8 mile because the smoke was so thick from the fires that you could barely see the finish line. And you could not see the shutdown area from the tower, so they went to 1/8 mile for safety reasons.

Bring your hot rod over and have some fun. Everybody had a good time last year. Hope to see you in a few weeks.

I plan on being there both days . Last year was a ton of fun, this year should be even better. I have not been to a track this year, so looking forward to hanging with my friends. Larry and I have talked and I will be helping where needed. Lets hope for great weather and a turn out of over 30 vehicles.
